The Best Beauty Fixes Found in Nature

In a society that prizes youth and beauty, women are constantly trying to find ways to attain, sustain, and maintain both. It's not enough that we have to face it every day in advertising on billboards, in magazines, and on television, but commercial interests are also fond of visual trickery like airbrushing that creates a beauty ideal that even the models themselves do not possess. As a result, many women end up feeling like they'll never measure up. Ladies, it's time to wake up! You have what you were born with, and unless you're willing to go for a major overhaul with cosmetic surgery, you need to start loving the You that actually exists. And part of being beautiful is being healthy. So throw away those high-cal comfort foods, get outdoors for a walk, and think about ways you can ditch the harmful toxins found in most beauty products. To get you started, here are just a few beauty items that are totally natural and just as effective as the products you spend beaucoup bucks on in the store.

The first natural beauty fix you'll want to get on board with is oil, and the reason is because it has so many uses in your everyday routine. For example, many women who find themselves suffering from itching, burning, redness, and rashes caused by the chemicals, fragrances, and dyes in the average lotion will be overjoyed to find that rubbing on a little olive, almond, or coconut oil post-shower can actually do a better job than fancy lotions and other potions. You might be hesitant to douse yourself in the same stuff you put on your pasta, but the trick with this moisturizing agent is to use it sparingly. It can certainly leave you looking a little like a greased sow if you pour on too much, so start with a small amount for arms, legs, and any other dry spots and add more as needed.

Of course, oil can also be used as a facial moisturizer. Grape seed oil is probably your best bet, although those with oily skin may want to skip it. The essential fatty acids and vitamins found in this particular oil have been found to reduce wrinkles and even scars and the anti-inflammatory properties may help to temper breakouts for some skin types. If it doesn't work for you, however, you can still use it as a makeup remover (washing after use) or tap it around the eyes before you go to sleep. And don't forget that oils of all types can work as an excellent conditioning treatment for hair, helping to lock in moisture and seal cuticles.

But hydration is only part of the beauty battle. What about dealing with bacteria and dead skin cells that cause flaking, dry patches, and breakouts? Here, too, nature can deliver with a variety of solutions. Nearly anything rough or granular can work as an exfoliant, such as salt, sugar, oatmeal, and the like, but you'll want to be careful that you don't use anything too gritty since it could do more harm than good. One item that will meet both of your needs is honey. If you allow it to crystalize, it not only works as an excellent exfoliant, but it also has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that can help to lessen acne in a natural way. You might have to see a dermatologist if you want laser treatments, fillers, or skin whitening, but for your day-to-day beauty routine you can easily ditch the overpriced and toxic products you currently use in favor of a natural beauty routine that will have you looking and feeling great in no time.

Pore shrinking mask recipes from home

A face with large open pores when seen from close quarters doesn’t look so good. While it’s quite common for oily skins to have a tendency towards open pores, an attack of pimples also leaves ugly scars and open pores behind.  Even though the scars may fade away after some time, open pores appear to be more obstinate and hardly show any signs of shrinking.  Age also takes its toll by giving an uneven/pigmented tone to the skin and making the open pores more prominent. Heredity could also be a contributing factor in determining your pore size. It’s not easy to get rid of these pores or shrink them completely or permanently using serums, lotions or face packs. Even resorting to drastic chemical/surgical procedures at the dermatologist’s isn’t quite capable of giving satisfactory results.  Nevertheless, you can try and minimize their appearance at least temporarily with clever makeup and a few natural skin care masks such as these: * Cleanse your face with a mild ...
