General tips for positive health from Ayurveda

Sound health is the basis for happiness. And the following are the useful hints of Ayurveda for attainment of perfect health and good conduct. The following tips assure you good health, the fountain of happiness. 

Ayurveda holistic healing



* Generally, food should be taken only after the previous meal is digested, and in limited quantities.

* The bodily urges such as urination, defecation, sneezes, cough; belching, flatulence, etc. should never be controlled or forced out.

* While conversing, use words which are relevant, brief, true and agreeable. Don’t trust people too much but keep an open mind.

* Don’t over-strain your sense organs and don’t over indulge either.

* Wear clean, well fitting clothes to appear well-groomed without causing the impression of being flamboyant.

* Wearing gems and ornaments adds to prosperity, auspiciousness, longevity and grace.

* However avoid extremes in all cases. Choose the middle path for best results.

* Don’t cough or sneeze without covering your mouth.

* Don’t fidget with objects to avoid creating a nervous impression.

* Do not gaze at the sun for long periods. Also do not carry very heavy objects on your head and do not strain the eyes by looking at very small shining objects.

* Avoid direct onslaught of winds, sunlight, dust snow etc.

* Don’t sneeze, cough, eat, belch or sleep in awkward postures.

These dos and don’ts are quite relevant in today’s lifestyle too, and help maintain the body’s positive health and immunity.

    Easier said than done, stress busters come in many forms. Some techniques recommended by experts are to think positive thoughts. Spend 30 minutes a day doing something you like. (i.e.,Soak in a hot tub; walk on the beach or in a park; read a good book; visit a friend; play with your dog; listen to soothing music; watch a funny movie. Get a massage, a facial or a haircut. Meditate. Count to ten before losing your temper or getting aggravated. Avoid difficult people when possible. Thought for the day: When seeing red, think pink clouds….then float on them.

    the colder weather has a significant effect on our skin. The humidity in the air at this time of year is lower, and being outside in the cold, windy, dry air reduces your skin's moisture even further. Inside, the dry heat from your heater or radiator also reduces the moisture in the air.

    Use a moisturizer twice daily,Protect your lips,

    3. Eat when you feel hungry
    4.Fast on a Regular, Systematic Basis
    5 Perform meditation on a regular basis
