4 Home Remedies for Gray Hair That Really Darkens and Adds Color Back to Your Hair

Nobody wants to be reminded that they are getting old. However, for some people they are reminded every time they look into the mirror and see a head full of gray hair. Gray hair isn't life threatening or anything to be ashamed of, but it can be embarrassing for people who want a much more youthful look.

The people normally embarrassed are the ones that begin growing gray hair at an early age. As you get older and reach your late 30s or 40s you start to accept the fact that your hair is going to start turning gray, as it is a natural part of aging. However, if you are in your teens or twenties and you start noticing strands of gray hairs popping up you'll probably freak out.

Gray hair is produced when your hair can no longer produce melanin, the pigment that gives your hair its color. Each year you get older the less melanin your hair follicles will contain. Your hair strands will continue to lose its color as it continues to lose more melanin, until your hair is fully gray.

People that start growing gray hair at an early age have been dealt a bad hand in the gene pool. Genes are the main culprit for your hair turning gray, so if your parents or grandparents started developing gray hairs at age 19 chances are so will you.

There are many different hair dyes that have been created to help color hair and remove gray strands. However, some people find the chemicals used to make expensive hair dye products in beauty supply stores too harsh to use. Thankfully there are natural ways you can remove gray hair strands and regain the beautiful color in your hair you desire.

Most of the natural remedies used to color gray hair involve using herbs to progressively add the color you want back to your hair. You can also naturally reverse your gray hair problem by eating certain foods that will increase the pigment production of melanin in your hair. Check out 4 of the best home remedies to help you get rid of gray hair.

Black Walnut Hull
Using black walnut hull for a herbal dye is very effective at darkening hair. Black walnut makes a very strong dye that can stain just about anything so you have to be careful when using it. Head to the store and purchase some black or green walnut hulls to make the dye.

To make this natural herbal dye easier you can find black walnut hulls in powdered form. Crack the hulls before adding them to a cup of boiling water on the stove and let it steep. If you are using the powdered form simply add three tablespoons of the powder to the cup of boiling water.

Allow the dye to steep for a few hours or longer to get the best dye. Strain the tea and then pour it over your head making sure you get all of your hair. Make sure you do your best to protect your skin while adding the dye so you don't end up with a black walnut stain on your body for days until it fades away. After about 20 minutes of the dye sitting in your hair rinse it out using warm water. After one application you should notice a huge difference, as your hair will be a rich dark color that removes your gray hair.

Amla
Amla is an Indian herb that is also known as gooseberry. Along with reversing your gray hair problem, amla will also help strengthen and add a shine to your hair. To use amla you can use it in its oil form along with another oil as the base like coconut oil.

You may need to repeat applications to completely remove your gray hairs. You can also get amla paste and rub it directly into your hair to achieve the same goal.

Curry Leaves
Curry leaves is another herb that comes from India, and it is mostly used for seasoning in various types of curries. Curry leaves can be used to color gray hairs because of the nutrients it contains that can promote melanin production in your hair follicles. To use you will need to boil the leaves in some coconut oil and then strain. Use the liquid mixture to apply to your hair generously and leave in. The nutrients in curry leaves will not only add color back to your hair but also strengthen your hair strands.

Pore shrinking mask recipes from home

A face with large open pores when seen from close quarters doesn’t look so good. While it’s quite common for oily skins to have a tendency towards open pores, an attack of pimples also leaves ugly scars and open pores behind.  Even though the scars may fade away after some time, open pores appear to be more obstinate and hardly show any signs of shrinking.  Age also takes its toll by giving an uneven/pigmented tone to the skin and making the open pores more prominent. Heredity could also be a contributing factor in determining your pore size. It’s not easy to get rid of these pores or shrink them completely or permanently using serums, lotions or face packs.
