A homemade mask is a great way to lighten your skin and a good excuse to kick back on the couch. Try using one once a week. Use one tablespoon of each of the following: sandalwood paste, lemon juice, tomato juice, and cucumber juice. Mix them all together to form a paste. Spread the mixture on your face and wait until it dries. Rinse and moisturize for a natural glow.

Your skin is a barrier protecting you against all those invaders from outside. If you go washing it with really hot water, hoping that you'll beat the spots, then you're wrong. You're just going to damage the skin and lose out to those external invaders thanks to weaker skin. Accept that your spots are caused by hormones, and adjust your diet - less sugars etc. The damage from internal reasons is unavoidable if it's from the hormones, so you must accept it. All you can do is avoid damaging the skin, and as a result, you'll lessen the chance of scarring it and leaving it more vulnerable to invaders - which will cause boils and terrible puss spots. When washing, try a gentle foaming face wash with Witch Hazel in it. Don't be hungry for quick results, so don't dispense so much that it covers your face like shaving foam! Do this, once with your shower, then, if you need it, moisturize with E45 lotion. I find the light body milk one very useful. This will prevent cracking and soreness, and won't clog you up. You'll look much fresher, cleaner, and your skin will breath good. Remember, don't use too much. Don't use so much you shine horribly, or you'll just clog up again, thus need another wash.Take it easy, wash calmly once in the shower (don't care about night as a full day to recover from the abrasion of washing is necessary for the skin), then let your body heal the skin.

Egg yolks are high in vitamin A and lecithin which is great for healing blemishes. The yolk and honey both have emulsifiers which are great for clearing up oily skin. And once you add whole milk and olive oil those dry skin cells and blemishes don’t stand a chance!

my skin is prone to the occasional (very very occasional) break out. i prefer to use mary kay's velocity line... but when i cant get that, i use neutrogena fresh foaming cleanser. my younger sister who had worse acne than i ever had tried using proactive and it didn't work. so, she tried the acne free program and now her face is really clear. she only used the face wash. depending on how sensitive your skin is, you might want to try using all 3 products. the acne free program can be purchased at walmart, if i am correct. and i get my neutrogena from walmart

Acne scar prevention is quite simple. Severe cases of acne should never be left untreated. Cystic acne is the most prevalent in causing scar. Visit a dermatologist so he can figure out the best method to treatment of your acne. He/She may choose to inject a corticosteroid into a cyst to decrease the inflammation if it appears bad enough to cause a scar. Avoid rupturing pimples at all costs. Rupturing the wound will dramatically increase the possibility of scars. Squeezing or picking at a spot will also make an infection worse.

Hydroquinone: This is a very common component in skin lightening creams in the United States. While some question its safety, many believe it is safe in low concentrations. It is available over the counter at a two percent concentration - all higher concentrations should be prescribed by a dermatologist and its use should be monitored and supervised by a professional.

The skin of a person is dark because of genetic reasons, exposure to sunlight and age. This color of the skin depends on the amount of pigment melanin. If you go out in the sun during the day, the skin will get tanned. Most home remedies will remove the skin tan only 2-3 after you stop going out. Use a face pack consisting of cucumber juice, lemon juice and some rose water or you can also try a face mask with honey and lemon juice. These face packs or face masks have to be used for some time, at least for a week for noticeable results.

Use an exfoliating scrub, exfoliating peels, and exfoliating sponges. there are sponges for your face as well as your body. When you exfoliate your skin, youre rubbing away dead, tanned skin cells, revealing a new skin cells over time with your natural, lighter skin color. the skin on your face will have an easier time becoming lighter because the skin is thinner, so its easier to reach a new layer, as opposed to trying to exfoliate thick skin like your back. just wear sunscreen and try to stay out of the sun from now on. you can also try some brightening serums that contain vitamin C.
