Avoid pain while tweezing your eyebrows by following these instructions

To tweeze or not to tweeze is your personal choice. Agreed, that the natural look for eyebrows is the ‘in thing’ these days. But if you are not happy with the shape of your brows and desperately want to tweeze them to look and feel good, just go for it. Don’t go around sporting your natural eyebrows just because everyone else is doing it. You need not strictly adhere to the idiosyncrasies of the ever-changing and fickle fashion trends to look stylish. Do what you think is good for you. Do not allow people or trends to influence you or to dictate terms to you.

Having said that, I would like to mention here that I have always preferred a natural look for eyebrows, even when shapely eyebrows were in vogue. But if you want to shape your eyebrows either by tweezing or threading, then here are a few instructions that you need to follow so that you don’t end up with red swollen eyebrows or eyes. It is highly imperative that you numb the eyebrow area beforehand.
*Always tweeze after a bath, it will open up the pores and tweezing or threading will be less painful.
* Rub the eyebrow area with a cotton ball soaked in an astringent. This numbs the skin for sometime and you do not feel much pain.
* Always pull in the direction of the hair growth, never against it. This also prevents ingrown hairs.
* You may also run an ice cube over the brows after tweezing.
* Also rub in a little cold cream afterwards.

In order to minimize the pain, numb the eyebrow area first either with a baby's teething pain preparation or numbing toothache preparation or even a little ice.
The hair can be softened up first with a hair conditioner or shaving cream.
You should steam your eyebrows with a hot washcloth for five minutes or tweeze right after a hot shower to open the pores so the hair comes out more easily.
