Oily skin care

To know if you have a oily skin refer the post Know your skin type. Skin that looks oily, feels greasy to touch and is prone to blackheads and pimples is known as oily skin. It is imperative to keep oily skin clean and to control the secretion of oil. A simple but regular skin-care program, coupled with well-balanced, healthy diet helps manage oily skin and minimizes skin-break-outs.

* It is essential to cleanse your face twice a day, once in the morning and once at bedtime. Always use a mild cleanser. They help prevent clogged pores and reduce pimples.
* Follow up the cleanser with an astringent as this removes all excess oil. It is best to avoid an alcohol-based astringent. Instead, it is advisable to use natural products. Alcohol-based products strip too much oil from the face.
* If your skin does break out, do not touch or squeeze the pimples. Pimples, if squeezed , may leave permanent scars. Try out these home remedies for pimples. There are a number of effective pimple creams available in the market today. Consult a dermatologist to know which one is suitable for you.
* If possible, get your face professionally cleansed once a month.
* Drink at least 8-10 glasses of water each day. Water helps flush out toxins from the body.
* Though there is no evidence to prove that fried foods and chocolates cause pimples, reduce their intake.
* Make sure that you eat a well-balanced diet which includes fruits and green leafy vegetables.
Home Remedies for oily skin
* Wrap an ice cube in a soft cotton cloth and lightly touch it on all the areas of your face. This cold compress will not only leave you feeling refreshed but will also tighten the pores.
* For marks and blemishes left by pimples use calamine lotion. Just dab some lotion on the blemishes at bedtime and they will gradually fade away.
* A great pack for oily skin is chilled cucumber. Finely grate cucumber or blend a cucumber in the blender to form a paste. Chill in the refrigerator. Apply it on the face and relax for 15 minutes. Wash off with cold water. For best results, repeat twice a week, on a clean, cleaned face.
*The powder of lemon peel can also be used as a face pack for oily skin.

There are diets that are high in protein but are going to lack the sugar, fluids and salt that are recommended for anyone with oily skin problems. Eating vegetables and fruits are defiantly going to help you. You especially want the ones that are rich in vitamin B2. These will be whole grains, beans, nuts, and royal jelly. You should use minimum oil in your diet and stay away from alcohol, soda, sugar filled drinks, chocolate and many other junk food items

home remedy for oily skin is to scrub sugar against your skin until the sugar melts. This is an excellent exfoliate scrub that removes dead skin cells. Wipe off your face with a lukewarm damp cloth.

External elements such as the collection of dirt, oil, makeup build-up, and dead skin cells as well as pollution, build up on the surface of the skin, leaving a dull and dirty appearance to the face and neck, and should be cleaned off daily. Oily skin has larger pores that tend to clog, and may have a waxy appearance, making a wonderful breeding area for blackheads.

Those with sensitive skin should wait some time before applying the products after chemical peels, and it’s always good to test a small patch of skin to see how you will react before completely engaging in the process

you may have oily skin because of heredity, stress or the wrong cosmetics.
to take care of this, first of all keep your skin clean by washing it on a regular basis, because the oily skin causes pimples, blackheads and acne most of the time. try using aloe vera and other such natural cleansers which give your skin a face lift! wipe the oily spots with acetone or alcohol and always keep a dry towel or paper napkins with you so you can wipe your skin. splash your face with cold water a couple of times as it is refreshing. avoid using moisturisers and look for recipes of scrubs that you can make yourself at home. masques will help your oily skin and use water based cosmetics. let your hair be tied properly so that it doesnt come in contact with the skin and make it sweaty. also, avoid touching your face again and again and use talcom powder or some other kind of powder that suits you.
    that's about it!

Rose petals, chamomile and geranium oils- Throw some rose petals in your tub and add 3-4 drops of chamomile oil and 1 drop of geranium oil. Soak your body in the sweet aroma. The chemicals in the petals and the oils act as a classic toner for oily skin.

I wish I could say that eating differently helped clear up my acne, but it never did. I tried everything. The only thing that worked in the end for me was Accutane. But everyone’s different.
Eating healthy, though, makes me FEEL better, which make me smile more, and that will make anyone look better

Take a spoon full of this mixture, add some water to make a paste and apply it all over the face and neck. Work the paste gently into the skin in a circular motion. Clean everything; your makeup applicators need to be cleaned regularly to get oil out of them. The oil on your face gets transferred to the applicators you use, so using a good antibacterial dish washing liquid will dissolve the oil on them as well as killing any bacteria that they may have picked up. This cleaning needs to be done once or twice a week, depending on how oily/broken out your skin is.

Cucumber is the best solution for the oilskin and this has to be grind well and separated from the juice. Then mix 1/4th teaspoon of the lime juice and one teaspoon of rose water and place it in the fridge for half an hour. Apply this pack on the face twice a day and wash the face with the cold water. 24. Just try washing your face at night. Then use witch-hazel, a mild astringent, in the morning before you apply cream.
As far as face creams go, there are too many full of nasty chemicals out there. I know Burt's Bee's makes great products.

  28. The mixture of rosewater and sandalwood can help with oily complexions. It will soak up the excess oil and still treat the current acne. It prevents future blockages because it soaks up the excess oil.
