Homemade lotions for hands

In a bid to save a few bucks don’t go in for cheap products available in the market and ruin your skin in the process. Just assemble a few natural and herbal ingredients from your home to get a ‘homemade product’ and work your way to a better skin. The purpose of homemade lotions and potions is to give you great results without making a big hole in your pocket. The idea is to make these in lesser quantities so that you can use it fresh each time. The amount of care and dedication that you put in while making these concoctions combined with the potent effects of the natural ingredients almost make it more efficacious than the expensive cosmetics and lotions.

Here are two recipes to make hand lotions from the comforts of your home and with the most available ingredients.

Recipe #1

Ingredients:

3 tablespoons rose water
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoons glycerin

Method:

Add glycerin and lemon juice to rose water. Stir well. Massage it on your hands and arms. Wash off with water after 10-15 minutes. Store excess in the refrigerator.

Recipe #2

Ingredients:

2 ½ teaspoon honey
2 ½ teaspoon glycerin
2 ½ tsp barley powder
1 egg white
4 tablespoons rose water

Method:

Combine all the ingredients and mix really well to get a thick paste. Apply all over your hands and arms lavishly. Rinse off with lukewarm water when dry.

Always remember to keep your hands clean. Pamper them and care for them on a regular basis by nourishing them with good hand creams and lotions. Also exercise them to keep them flexible. And you will have smooth, youthful, slender and graceful hands/arms which will defy your age.

Pore shrinking mask recipes from home

A face with large open pores when seen from close quarters doesn’t look so good. While it’s quite common for oily skins to have a tendency towards open pores, an attack of pimples also leaves ugly scars and open pores behind.  Even though the scars may fade away after some time, open pores appear to be more obstinate and hardly show any signs of shrinking.  Age also takes its toll by giving an uneven/pigmented tone to the skin and making the open pores more prominent. Heredity could also be a contributing factor in determining your pore size. It’s not easy to get rid of these pores or shrink them completely or permanently using serums, lotions or face packs.
