Castor oil may not make eyelashes grow longer

Eyes are one of the most expressive features of the face and naturally thick, long eyelashes enhance their beauty. Most women are keen to know about the products, natural or otherwise; which can make their lashes grow longer.

thick eyelashes

The most popular advice offered by all and sundry is the application of castor oil. It is generally believed that an external application of castor oil.
* on sparse eyebrows makes them to grow thicker and
* on the eyelashes makes them to grow longer.

But does castor oil have this property? Is it safe to use castor oil near the eyes? I came across such a question posed to the Beauty Brains. Here is what they had to say:

“There is no scientific evidence to support these claims. So, until someone can do a controlled study that shows castor oil makes your eyelashes grow, color me skeptical. I’d prefer to see the scientific research on castor oil rather than take someone’s word for it.”

Controlled studies or no....this has worked on me. I already had great eyelashes. Just wanted to see what this would do. They grew longer, fuller and curled more than before. A beautiful result.

Natural remedies for dark circles around your eyes

Dark circles around your eyes. How unsightly they look and even your best dress and layers of make-up sometimes does not quite succeed in concealing them! Blame it on your genes or your lifestyle, but, you cannot deny the fact that these are a blot on your beauty . And they become more prominent as you age. Let’s just debunk some of the myths as well as unearth some of the facts about the causes of these ‘ panda eyes ’.   Dark circles under eyes usually are temporary and not a medical concern. You may be surprised to learn that fatigue usually isn't the cause of dark circles. Instead, the most common cause is nasal congestion. When your nose is congested, veins that usually drain from your eyes into your nose become widened (dilated) and darker.

Home remedies for sleeplessness

The day dawns beautifully for those who have had a night of good sleep. But the same day drags on for those who have spent a disturbing, sleepless night. Sleep is a biological necessity even as eating and drinking are. Sufficient sleep renders a person normally sociable, lively and high-spirited. It’s a nature’s way of rejuvenating the person for the next day. Realize all this, and make sleep a physiological habit. The consequences of long time sleep deprivation can be very grave. Lack of sleep takes its toll on the skin and hair. It causes acne-breakouts and makes one look aged and haggard beyond years. Experts opine that during sleep as our metabolic rate falls, blood goes to those areas which need the most repairing. This also steps up the production of collagen and keratin, which aid the regeneration of skin cells and help resist premature ageing. So for a younger looking and a problem free skin you need to have a good quality of sleep every night.

So why not try out this simple skin care regimen to minimize the damage caused by acne & as far as possible prevent its eruption.
