Water – some health benefits of drinking it

Staying properly hydrated is one of the easiest and least expensive ways to stay in good health.

DAILY WATER CONSUMPTION
For normal metabolism, a human body releases 500ml of water in the form of urine every day. Through breathing and sweating, the body releases another 500ml-800ml of water. Therefore maintaining a content of 1000ml of water in one’s body is of utmost importance at all times.
IMPROVES BLOOD CIRCULATION
Water helps the blood in transporting nutrients, antibodies and blood cells to infected areas when sick and it removes toxin and waste from the body. With this, it smoothens metabolism and at the same time increases the immunity of the body.

WATER SHORTAGE AND CONTROLLING ONE’S URINE CAN CAUSE KIDNEY PROBLEMS LIKE FORMATION OF STONES
If one hardly drinks water and controls the urine often, this will thicken the urine, making it easier for bacteria to propagate and cause kidney problems. Therefore one should consume much water in order to increase the volume of urine and cleanse the urethra. Drinking pure water regularly will also prevent the formation of stones.
DRINKING WATER WHEN YOU WAKE UP AT MIDNIGHT PREVENTS STROKE
The blood is at its thickest at midnight and in the early hours of the morning; hence blood pressure is also at the highest. So if you happen to wake up during these hours, drink a glass of water and then go back to sleep. This lowers your blood pressure, lessens the thickness of your blood and at the same time prevents strokes.
WATER IS ESSENTIAL FOR THE BRAIN TOO
It is important to drink sufficient water as even slight dehydration can activate the stress hormones, which, over time can damage your brain. Dehydration also decreases alertness.

Water is a must. I try to drink 2 liters a day, but it isn't easy. water not only keeps you hydrated, but it will also curb your hunger when you think you're hungry when in actuality you're just thirsty. i know that sounds confusing, but next time you feel hungry after a meal, try drinking a glass of water and see how you feel before digging into that next bag of potato chips. and as always, eat a good breakfast!

warm water is good because the body absorbs it quicker. When my foot and ankle were swelling because of some medication I was taking at the time, the doctors nurse told me to drink plenty of water to help flush my system and to drink it warm because the warm water is absorbed quicker. I always drink warm water. Hate cold. I even use pretty warm water, almost hot, to water my plants. 3 or 4 times a day because it is flushing your system. We live in a very toxic world and simply drinking water flushes us out. Can help with all kinds of medical problems

Water is necessary for the body to function normally--including metabolically. Drinking water before eating can reduce your appetite so that you are satisfied with smaller portions.
Water removes toxins from the body that may make you feel bogged down or lethargic. Drinking water can help maintain your energy level. Cold water cools down your insides, then your body has to expend energy to increase your temperature to its homeostatic level--this burns calories in the process! If you replace most of what you drink throughout the day (sodas, juices, milk) with water you are instantly reducing your daily calorie intake by the hundreds! Dehydration leads to fatigue, so being well hydrated lets you exercise longer and burn even more calories!

Despite all the medical advice to drink 6 to 8 glasses a day, it seems we still need to keep getting the word out to people: DRINK WATER!

This is the essence of all things; the basis of life. I recently read: a grape that doesn’t have enough moisture (aka water) will shrivel up and turn into a raisin. If you don’t drink enough water, think of what will happen to your face in later years…

Water is the one beverage that not only refreshes the body, but also helps to avoid dehydration and promote healing processes. To determine your personal recommended water intake per day, divide your body weight by two. The resulting number is the number of ounces of water recommended each day. For example, a woman who weighs 150 pounds should strive to drink 75 ounces of water daily.

This is great information to know! I love drinking water and had no idea how much it actually does for the body! In a typical 8 hour work day I find myself drinking 3750ml of water and then I drink about 1500ml in the evening. I just do this out of habit but it’s great to know that a lot of water can do so much good!

Intake of sufficient quantities of water improves metabolism and aids digestion, this is turn leads to burning the fat quickly. It is even better to drink warm water, if you can tolerate. Warm water is always preferred over cold water, it has a cleansing effect on the system. A healthy body removes waste on a daily basis. If you are not regularly moving your bowels begin drinking that water and flush those toxins that are sitting in that waste out of your body.

Water is your body's principal chemical component, making up, on average, 60 percent of your body weight. Every system in your body depends on water. For example, water flushes toxins out of vital organs, carries nutrients to your cells and provides a moist environment for ear, nose and throat tissues.

Lack of water can lead to dehydration, a condition that occurs when you don't have enough water in your body to carry out normal functions. Even mild dehydration can drain your energy and make you tired.

When people want to lose weight then drinking lots of water can certainly help as it helps to keep the body hydrated which AIDS weight loss by keeping metabolism high. The key here is it only aids weight loss it doesn't do it on its own.

To lose weight you have to make sure you are consuming fewer calories than you are burning. You already burn calories while doing nothing, this is your resting metabolic rate. Based on your height, age and weight you already burn 2000 calories a day. If you want to lose weight then you just have to consume fewer than 2000 calories a day (burn more than you consume). If you exercise as well then obviously you can eat more as you will burn more calories.

Headaches and stress are common signs of dehydration. Our body is 60-80% made out of water, thus lacking it could lead to cellular malfunction. The best way to enjoy water is before and after an activity. Eight glasses or more is the advisable quantity to cleanse you. Without water, the body is not able to fully absorb nutrients and correct balance of your acid-alkali level. The healthiest type of water is alkaline water, which helps the body combat free radicals, toxins and anti-bodies.

Make the habit of drinking 2 (8 ounce) glasses of water before you eat any meal. This makes you eat less, helps your digestion process, gives you time to "cook" if you're the one doing the cooking, and if you do this every meal you are well on your way to a daily goal. This is a great method to use for those who are compulsive over-eaters.

Water helps the body flush out toxins and transport nutrients to the body.
Drinking water puts less strain on the skin organ to flush out toxins. The
recommended amount of water you should drink is at least half your body
weight in ounces of water( a 150 lb. person should drink 75 ounces/day ).
While water alone will not eliminate your acne it will greatly assist your

I would recommend to drink as much water as possible. You can tell by seeing your urine turning to white. My reasoning for this is that you will flush out the toxins including some fat in your body which gives you a clear mind as it cleanses your blood. I have also learnt that if you drink cold water your metabolism rises as your body tries to heat itself up therefore rising your metabolism and losing some fat along the way.
