Thanks for the interesting post. I have always wanted to try making some homemade shampoo myself (my hair tends to tangle a lot). Any idea where is a good place to buy Shikakai in the US?

  2. Hi Marcy, thanks for visiting. Shikakai powder should be available at any Indian stores in the US, I think. Or else you could buy it from amazon. In India it costs less than $2 for a kilogram.

Ive used pantene before and its been fine... but i switch shampoo and conditioners every time i need new stuff. Its bad for your hair to use the same stuff all the time. You get build up and such. I really like Herbal Essence and Infusium. Also the Garnier frutis stuff is pretty good. Anything that is shampoo plus conditioner doesnt work for my hair. It doesn't condition for squat.

First of all, don't shampoo your hair everyday.
it takes the natural oils out.
shampoo your hair once or twice a week.
    condition your hair everyday though.
leave it on for at least an hour or so.
or you can leave it on overnight and sleep with it (wrapped in a towel)
and wash it in the morning.
makes your hair so soft and helps with breakage, dry and damaged, frizzy hair.

  9. To activate the tail molecules, the shampoo formula must be massaged into the scalp and hair. This insures that the shampoo's tail molecules can be brought into direct contact with all the oily, dirty, grimy substances and vacuum them out. The action of massaging the shampoo into the hair and scalp will cause grease, oils and dirt, as they are sucked up by the tails and roll up into small blobs.

  10. Dandruff is due to the excessive shedding of dead skin cells from the scalp. The skin itself sheds every twenty-four days. Dandruff is an itchy, annoying and persistent skin disorder of the scalp. Mild cases may need nothing more than daily medicated herbal shampooing with a gentle cleanser.

Fingers in the combs and brushes accumulate faster than you can imagine. And if you collect your purse or pocket, the dust and dirt as well as taken. Give them a fresh start shampoo bath. Comb the hair with a brush and rub a little shampoo their hair or teeth. Put the shampoo in a small glass of water flow and allow the comb and brush to a few minutes, rinse, wash, sit and clean .
