I've also noticed that the skin tends to get a bit darker in the winter, dunno whether it's due to the fact that the earth is closer to the sun in winters or due to the application of oily cold creams or spending time more time outdoors without adequate sunscreen protection or simply neglecting winter skin care. Whatever maybe the reason for skin darkening, I've come across this wonderful DIY recipe to improve one's skin complexion in winter. It has worked wonders for me. I'm sure it'll work for you too!

Ingredients
garlic clovescarrot slices cucumber slices cabbage shredding  coconut oil-1 turmeric-1

Method:
Take  4-5 round slices of carrot, 4-5 cloves of garlic, ½ a bowl of cabbage shreddings and 4 round slices of cucumber and make a paste of it in a mixer. Then transfer this mixture into a bowl. Now add 3-4 tsp of coconut oil in a pan and add ¼ th tsp of turmeric to it. Then switch off the flame. Then add the mixture from the bowl to this oil and mix well. You can store this mixture in an airtight jar in the refrigerator for around a week..

Application:
Apply this mixture on your face, hands and legs and let it stay for around 20 minutes. Do this thrice a week. In a matter of 15 days, you'll know the difference. You'll find that this removes tan, brightens your complexion and gives you a radiant, glowing skin. It's most suitable for winter months when your complexion tends to darken.
