Jamal Hammadi's Hair Care Tips

Jamal Hammadi's  tips for healthy, shiny and black hair have worked wonders for my hair. I had always used amla for my hair but avocado oil was something  new to me. After going through his tips, I did get a small bottle and used it for a month or so and my hair with a normal to dry texture became amazingly soft, shiny and frizz-free. It's indeed a very good oil for overnight scalp massage. My mane which was used to the goodness of either coconut oil, olive oil or sesame oil easily took to avocado oil. Overall, I found his tips quite useful though I'm yet to try a shea butter moisturizer for my hair.

Now I'm all the more eager to get some more hair care tips and advice from this renowned hair expert, whose clientele includes Drew Barrymore, Sharon Stone and Meg Ryan.  Says Jamal, " I believe that less is more. Today's generation uses too many products which results in dry, dull hair. I believe in going back to the basics." Let's see what else he has in store for us.
woman brushing her tresses
Brush your hair with a wooden comb at night.
Jamal also suggests using a mix of slightly warmed avocado oil with coconut oil to massage your scalp. Leave it overnight and wash it off in the morning and you'll  love he way your hair will feel, he says. He also speaks highly about Tea tree oil. Tea tree Oil, that's used for acne, is also fantastic for your hair and helps maintain your hair's pH balance, he claims. And if you love to brush your tresses at least once if not a hundred times before sleeping, do so with a wooden comb, he suggests. Combing your hair with a wooden comb supposedly activates the natural oil secretion which lends moisture to the hair.
Jamal's DIY conditioner for fabulously soft hair
Usually experts are known to recommend expensive shampoos, conditioners, serums or luxurious deep-conditioning spa treatments. So this comes as a surprise. Here Jamal recommends a simple DIY conditioner that can give you fabulously soft hair. Why invest in some fancy conditioner, when a cheaper one can easily be prepared by you, he quips.
The hair pack:
Blend egg white and cucumber in the mixer, add a few tsps of coconut oil, apply on hair and leave it on for 40 minutes. The results will be miraculous!

Get Extra Virgin Olive Oil and cover your hair with it, about once or twice a week. I usually heat it up a little bit and leave it in overnight.

  6. Don't wash your hair everyday. I had them in two years ago and I only washed my hair every three days or so. Use a pick to comb out your hair, not a brush. Don't pull on them too much.

-NEVER use a hair brush. Only a wide tooth comb when your hair is wet, preferably in the shower when your hair has conditioner in it. - Don't use products with silicones in them .

Lemon juice and coconut milk are best ingredients for straightening your hair naturally. If both are mixed, it will act as a cream conditioner and help in straightening the hair. After mixing, apply the paste and wash your hair with lukewarm water. A clear difference will be noticed if done twice a week

21 Bindi Quotes That Illuminate Tradition, Spirituality, and Modern Identity

The bindi , a small yet striking dot adorning the forehead , has long been a symbol of cultural pride, spiritual devotion, and aesthetic beauty in South Asian traditions. While its visual appeal is undeniable, the bindi carries profound meanings that transcend its physical form. In this piece, we delve into the world of bindi quotes —words that capture the essence of this timeless adornment. The Bindi as a Symbol of Feminine Power The bindi’s legacy extends beyond tradition —it is a bold declaration of feminine energy and resilience. Pore shrinking mask recipes from home

A face with large open pores when seen from close quarters doesn’t look so good. While it’s quite common for oily skins to have a tendency towards open pores, an attack of pimples also leaves ugly scars and open pores behind.  Even though the scars may fade away after some time, open pores appear to be more obstinate and hardly show any signs of shrinking.  Age also takes its toll by giving an uneven/pigmented tone to the skin and making the open pores more prominent. Heredity could also be a contributing factor in determining your pore size. It’s not easy to get rid of these pores or shrink them completely or permanently using serums, lotions or face packs. Even resorting to drastic chemical/surgical procedures at the dermatologist’s isn’t quite capable of giving satisfactory results.  Nevertheless, you can try and minimize their appearance at least temporarily with clever makeup and a few natural skin care masks such as these: * Cleanse your face with a mild ...

Water – some health benefits of drinking it

Staying properly hydrated is one of the easiest and least expensive ways to stay in good health. DAILY WATER CONSUMPTION For normal metabolism, a human body releases 500ml of water in the form of urine every day. Through breathing and sweating, the body releases another 500ml-800ml of water. Therefore maintaining a content of 1000ml of water in one’s body is of utmost importance at all times. IMPROVES BLOOD CIRCULATION Water helps the blood in transporting nutrients, antibodies and blood cells to infected areas when sick and it removes toxin and waste from the body. With this, it smoothens metabolism and at the same time increases the immunity of the body.
