Homemade Anti-wrinkle face masks

woman with wrinklesWe often hear women saying that they can put up with blackheads on their nose, a few blemishes on the face or even some discoloration on their upper lips but wrinkles are something they dread as they believe that they are the harbinger of decline, signaling that “one is over the hill.” Sure, there are procedures like chemical peels, botox, face-lifts etc to wipe out those offending lines but they not only prove to be very expensive in the long run but have several side-effects associated with them. The efficacy of those over-the-counter anti-wrinkle creams is also doubtful. Even if you are not blessed with the best of genes, the oldest, clichéd and the most sure-fire ways of keeping wrinkles at bay is adequate sun-protection, nutritious diet, regular exercise, a stress-free lifestyle and proper sleep.

It’s a fact that you cannot get rid of wrinkles with homemade masks, nonetheless some of these face packs help rejuvenate, revitalize and give your skin a firmer texture.

Honey anti-wrinkle mask

Ingredients:

1 ½ tbsp honey
½ tsp carrot juice
A pinch of baking soda

Method:

Combine honey and juice of carrots. Apply on face. Leave on for 20 minutes. Remove using cotton wool dipped into warm water to which a pinch of baking soda has been added.

1 white of an eggwrinkle mask
1 tablespoon of milk-cream (malai)

This mask tautens the facial skin quickly and your face will look rejuvenated almost immediately but this doesn’t last for longer. If you're want to make your skin look tighter and younger for the evening, this is a great mask to use.

Juice of half a lemon
Salt- ½ tsp

Mix beaten egg white with the juice of 1/2 a lemon and salt. Apply for 15-20 min and wash off. Works wonders on wrinkled skin.

Banana mask

1 ripe banana
1 tablespoon rose water

Method:

Mash banana and add in rose water.

Mint-kaolin mask

Ingredients:

1 egg white
2 teaspoon kaolin
2 tablespoon mint (pudina) juice

Method:

Crush a handful of mint leaves and allow it to steep in water for half an hour. Strain the liquid. Alternatively, you may extract the juice of mint. Beat the egg white until stiff. Add to the mint extract. Stir in kaolin to make a paste.

Application:

Apply the mask all over face and wash it off after 15 minutes.

Turmeric

Method:

Mix all the ingredients and apply evenly all over the face and wash off with cold water after 20 minutes.

Papaya-cream face pack

Ingredients:

For wrinkles, try using olive oil as a serum or applying cocoa butter to your skin. You can also make an exfoliating scrub with honey and sugar. Mix equal parts of both until you make a paste and then apply to any rough area on your skin. Rinse away to reveal clean and soft skin that doesn’t cost a fortune.

  9. Facial exercises DO NOT cause wrinkles if done correctly - they actually help to make women and men look younger for longer, without a surgical facelift, by toning facial muscles. Surgical facelifts can be effective, but this type of cosmetic surgery is expensive, and can be traumatic. Why not try the free facial exercises as an alternative to a surgical facelift. The free facial exercises will not be as radical as the facelift, but will assist in achieving a younger looking face, without wrinkles and lines.

Buy a gentle facial scrub or exfoliate and use once a week to keep the of your skin soft and smooth. This will also increase the blood flow to the top layers of skin giving it a rosy glow and help encourages cell renewal. Alternatively you can get the same effect by lathering up a facial wash on your skin using a clean shaving brush

When the skin becomes and and it get gets wrinkles, it means, the circulation of the blood in the tissues is not sufficient. These dead cells have to be stimulated and energized to make them live again. I have prepared some formulations in oil. This oil is massaged gently for about half an hour daily on- say the back of the hands, face, neck, feet, breasts and other parts if you need to energies them. This formulation increases the circulation of the blood and the skin becomes tightened and starts glowing. This treatment has to be continuously taken for about two months.
It removes the aging affect from these areas to a greater extent. I have used it with some exercises and the results were very satisfying.

wrinkles surface first around eyes and the mouth and are sign that the skin lacks hydration. You can put a hold on them by keeping your skin protected from excessive exposure to sun and using a wrinkle-control formula. Though the sun gives us vitamin D, which is great for the complexion, going out in the sun without proper protection is an open invitation for wrinkles in the long run. It can even lead to melanoma(skin cancer).
So use a sunscreen over the face and body before you expose yourself to the rays of the sun. Don't skip the routine when the sky is overcast, for haze and clouds don't block those damaging UV rays. Wear sunglasses with UV protection and make sure your sunscreens stays put.

Castor oil Calms down inflammation. Prevents wrinkles and softens skin. Apply pure Castor oil on skin. Don’t overdo it, a very light application is enough. Castor oil softens skin naturally by penetrating the skin’s surface layers. This is important because an oil won’t do much good if it just sits on top of the skin. Nurses often apply castor oil on patients after cosmetic surgery.

If you suffer from premature wrinkles, dry skin, dandruff, cracked skin, or other very dry skin conditions, chances are you have a deficiency of Omega 3. Part of the beauty of Omega 3 is that it will moisturize your skin from deep inside. You won’t have to slather on yet another cream on your face. Instead, you can get Omega 3 from your diet.

Natural products such as herbal and homeopathic remedies can help keep skin supple and moisturized in a gentle manner, without disrupting the harmony of the skin. Herbal and homeopathic remedies present a gentle option – without the harsh side effects of chemicals and synthetics.

Spirulina can help to promote skin metabolism and lessen scarring and fine lines while the herb Dandelion can be used to naturally detox the skin and purify the blood and lymphatic system, thus promoting an inner glow that helps create translucent skin and discourage dry facial skin.

Other herbs such as Horsetail and Rosemary can also be beneficial – helping to smooth texture, strengthen and tone the skin while Kali sulph and Silicea nourish skin cells from the inside on a cellular level.

As far as taking care of the oxidation taking place in your body, some herbs have been found to be extremely effective in fighting it out. One such ingredient is Aspalathus linearis (Rooibos) – an all round supportive tonic, and has powerful anti-oxidant properties, fighting free radicals due to its superoxide dismutase (SOD) mimetic properties.

Grapeseed extract is a potent source of proanthocyanidins, or pycnogenols containing naturally occurring proanthocyanidins – a natural and powerful Antioxidant. Proanthocyanidins also have an affinity for cell membranes, providing support to reduce capillary permeability and fragility.

Take a cup of rice powder and to this add enough milk and rosewater to make a thick paste. Apply evenly all over the forehead, face and the neck area. Leave it on for at least 20 minutes. Try and relax and not move any facial muscles when this paste is applied on the face. After 20-30 minutes when it cakes up, splash cold water on your face, rinse and wash off. The skin appears very taut and the wrinkles seem to have "straightened" out or wrinkles and lines disappeared altogether.

Olive oil will reduce wrinkles, there is nothing that can make them go away completely other than surgery. Olive oil is a natural, hypoallergenic way to moisturize the skin and it’s also high in monounsaturated fat, which makes up about 25 percent of the fatty acids in the skin. Once you apply it to the skin olive oil deeply penetrates and is a wonderful treatment for your face that you can leave on overnight if you choose. It is especially effective after showering, or you can add a dab to your bath for a luxurious soak that will leave your entire body soft and smooth. Olive oil is rich in Vitamin A and E which can help to renew and repair damaged skin.
You should definitely rub it under your eyes to minimize the wrinkles, the earlier you start the better. It could give you zits if you fail to properly cleanse your face.

There is no way to say what age you will start to get wrinkles. We'd have to take a comprehensive look at your family history, an in-depth analysis of your diet and observe your sleep patterns and stress levels! The best thing you can do is to take care of your skin the best you possibly can by using a daily oil-free moisturizer with an SPF of at least 30, wash your face every night (this is very important as well), you can even exfoliate once a week, do a mask every week, even try a night cream, but beware of the prices, you can get good products that are afforable. I switched from a $45 moisturizer to Neutrogena's oil-free moisture SPF 35 and the differences are minimal, so the savings are worth it! The most important of all is to drink all the water you need per day (you will see imporvement in overall health as well), eat healthy, and get your rest every night.
Confidence will help you age gracefully, whether you have wrinkles or not. :)

    * 1/2 cup Buttermilk

    * 1 tablespoon extra virgin Olive oil
    * 1 teaspoon Almond oil
    or
    1 Egg
    1 teaspoon organic Honey

The method of "eliminating" wrinkles is actually quite risky, as some people have suffered drooping eyes, and corners of the mouth because of a delay in the return of the ability to contract their facial muscles. There is a remote chance something like this could become permanent.
In order to tighten facial skin you need an anti aging product that actually stimulates the creation of new collagen and elastin, while diminishing collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid loss.
