Sunsilk Thick & Long Shampoo and Conditioner: Review

Sometime back, on an impulse, I had picked up Sunsilk thick & long shampoo as well as conditioner. It was the older variant, not the new Sunsilk lusciously thick & long, specially formulated for Sunsilk by seven internationally renowned hair experts Rita Hazan, Yuko Yamashita, Jamal Hammadi, Dr. Francesca Fusco, Tom Taw, Ouidad, and Teddy Charles.

What it claims?
Sunsilk thick & long shampoo and conditioner Hair looks thicker as it grows longer.

The Shampoo:
Cleanse, refresh... and keep your hair abundant. Infused with nourishing Yoghurt Protein Energizers, it gently cleanses as it paves the way for healthy abundant hair. Use regularly with Sunsilk, thick & Long Conditioner every time you wash.

The Conditioner:
Soften, nourish ... and make hair look thicker as it grows longer. Enriched with nourishing Yoghurt Protein Energizers, this extra rich formula nourishes and conditions each hair strand, boosting hair strength while making hair abundant upto the tips as it grows. For thicker-looking, longer hair, use regularly with Sunsilk Thick & Long Shampoo every time you wash.

Review:
I used the shampoo and conditioner for nearly 3-4 months. The  packaging is good and the products are quite affordable (200 ml shampoo costs Rs 97/- and 90 ml conditioner costs Rs. 65/-) The shampoo has a nice fragrance and the conditioner does make the hair soft and manageable. However my hair did not grow any thicker or longer. On the other hand, I noticed significant hair fall during that time. I am not sure if this  was related to the shampoo/conditioner. All I can say is tall claims aside, this is just another average shampoo/conditioner combo that does its job .

Nonetheless, I never believed in the dubious claims of shampoos/conditioners that claim to make hair thicker and longer, nor was I impressed by Priyanka Chopra's misleading, awful Sunsilk, Thick and Long commercials. I don't know what came over me to buy this shampoo /conditioner. For sure, I won't be purchasing the new variant "Sunsilk, Lusciously Thick & Long"
