Himalaya Purifying Mud pack

Mud and clay packs should especially be reserved for summer months. I just can’t do without this homemade Multani-Mitti mask in summer. I use it thrice a week to get rid of the excess oil, deep-seated impurities and grime and freshen up my oily face. If you don’t have the time to whip up your own mask then you may want to try this marvelous purifying mud pack from Himalaya Herbals. It contains Mineral Clay, Multani mitti (fuller’s earth), Khus-khus (poppy seeds) and walnut. This mineral rich Mud Pack absorbs excess oil, cleans clogged pores and removes deep-seated impurities. It also helps to get rid of blackheads, stubborn blemishes and tightens your facial skin, thereby minimizing the appearance of wrinkles. Multani mitti (fuller’s earth) is not only a skin-cleanser but cooling as well, walnut removes skin impurities, blackheads and dead cells and mineral clay heals, improves circulation and makes the skin soft and tender.

Application:
Mix 2-3 tsp of the powder in water to get a paste of smooth consistency and spread out on your face and neck. Let it sit for 15-20 minutes. When it starts tightening around your skin, wash it off with cool water. Then apply a moisturizer. Ideal for oily skin and in summers. During other seasons use it twice/thrice a month to improve the elasticity and texture of your skin.

In order to get the full benefits of a mud mask, make sure you use a cleanser on skin first, and then apply the mud mask all over facial area and neck, if desired. Allow the mud mask to dry completely, which will usually take around 10 to 15 minutes. Then rinse the mud mask from your face with warm water and a washcloth, and don’t forget to apply a face moisturizer afterwords.
A mud mask can help improve your overall complexion, as a mud mask helps to clarify skin, shrink pores, relax tired muscles and replenish moisture in skin. No matter what your skin routine is, using a mud mask at least once in a week will restore your skin and leave your face silky smooth.
