Lip gloss may invite skin cancer

Though direct evidence is not found, some dermatologists opine that slathering on shiny lip glosses can actually increase your risk of developing skin cancer. As lip glosses can make more of the light rays penetrate directly through the skin instead of getting reflected off the skin’s surface, the resulting sun damage can lead to potentially fatal forms of skin cancer.

Less serious damages could be disfigurements and small brown spots which look like freckles on lips. Sun damage also leads to premature ageing of lips, making them look much thinner. Experts say that the culprit is the moisture in the lip-gloss which squashes the protective upper layer on the lips making them vulnerable to UV rays.

Apart from the extra hydration, the “super shine” and “ultra shine” of the glosses could be damaging as well. Dermatologists recommend ditching lipglosses in favor of lip sticks and lip balms with SPF 30 as it would ensure that your lips are more protected from the UV rays.

    Choose your lipgloss
carefully - Because of it’s shiny, reflective nature, some dermatologists claim that applying lipgloss and then going in the sun is the equivalent of taking a magnifying glass and focusing the concentrated sun rays directly on your lips. Wow. I’m a lipgloss junkie and I’ve never realized how harmful some lip products could be. If you’re going to wear lipgloss, choose one that has a high level of SPF included in its formula.

This should make your lips very 'baby butt' smooth. Here you go:

    1) This may hurt a bit. Get some sugar and rub it on your lips for a few moments. This will remove dead skin.
2)DO NOT use any scented or flavored Chap Sticks or lip balms/glosses. You will probably lick it off, and if you don't, these don't focus on moisture anyways.
3)Use Chap Stick, or even better,Burt's Bees, preferably in a stick form.
    4) Brush on a coat of petroleum jelly. Leave on for ten minutes. Pat this off gently, then repeat with olive oil.
5)DO NOT lick, touch, bite or rub your lips. These are bad habits that you probably don't notice.
6)DO NOT eat too much citrus or hot drinks or let your lips get too cold. These will dry out your lips.
    7) Before going to bed, and before making out (LOL) put on a nice layer of lip balm or moisturizing lip-gloss.

Home remedies for sleeplessness

The day dawns beautifully for those who have had a night of good sleep. But the same day drags on for those who have spent a disturbing, sleepless night. Sleep is a biological necessity even as eating and drinking are. Sufficient sleep renders a person normally sociable, lively and high-spirited. It’s a nature’s way of rejuvenating the person for the next day. Realize all this, and make sleep a physiological habit. The consequences of long time sleep deprivation can be very grave. Lack of sleep takes its toll on the skin and hair. It causes acne-breakouts and makes one look aged and haggard beyond years. Experts opine that during sleep as our metabolic rate falls, blood goes to those areas which need the most repairing. This also steps up the production of collagen and keratin, which aid the regeneration of skin cells and help resist premature ageing. So for a younger looking and a problem free skin you need to have a good quality of sleep every night.
