Don't be too thin - Heidi Klum

Heidi Klum is totally averse to yo-yo dieting and isn't exactly impressed by people who are aiming to be reed-thin.

She believes that plump cheeks and a fuller face, make a person look much younger than a skinny person whose face looks gaunt with tight and angular features.

In her own words, "My tip is, don't be too thin! It is always better to have a little meat on your bones. When you are just muscle, you end up being gaunt on the face and that makes you look older by five or 10 years."

And she's so right! Research suggests that fat is quite likely to play a major role in keeping your face looking youthful. It's not just gravity that's responsible for sagging skin, jowls and naso-labial folds.

Research conducted by Drs Rohrich and Pessa, suggests that it is the different rates at which the fat pockets on your face change their shape and size that leads to loss of volume in the underlying area, causing hollows and sagging.

Dr Rajiv Grover from Grover from the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons also reaffirms that it's not just the plain old wrinkles that make people look older, but the changes in the shape of the face that occur when one loses weight excessively, especially due to unhealthy dieting.

Now coming back to the topic of Heidi Klum! Klum says that she isn't too scared of ageing and wrinkles. All of 37 and mother to 4 children, Klum, who's still in a gorgeous shape, says that she abhors Botox and Botox addicts ,and believes in aging gracefully like some of these celebrities instead of resorting to drastic methods to delay the ageing process.

On her secret to staying fresh: "Sleep! I get up at 5:30, so I’m exhausted early. I go to bed at 8:30 most nights. Also, before events, I may get a spray tan. I like how it looks, but sometimes I leave gold shimmery marks all over!"

Heidi insists that there are no tricks to her weight loss. She says: "I've never really had any special girdle machines or anything like that. For me, it's, you know, really healthy foods, exercising, playing with the children, going to the park. Normal things."

Klum added: "I never really put a lot of pressure on myself, but for me personally, I feel like it is always better to get into shape immediately . . . it works to kind of get back into shape, afterward, I feel great."

If you eat healthy on a regular basis it isn't a diet it is just your diet, or the regular way you eat.

Home remedies for common cold

Common cold is a very common malady which affects people during monsoons. (Also see the post Beauty and body care in monsoon for a monsoon beauty regimen.) It can be caused by any one of more than 200 viruses. Normally it is confined to the nose and throat although the virus can infect the larynx and lungs. It is said that there is no particular cure for colds, they are naturally relieved within a week. Treatment is just an attempt to relieve its symptoms such as headache, stuffy nose, sore-throat and congestion. Paracetamol tablets are generally taken to get relief from these symptoms.
