Dabur Amla hair oil:Review

I have used Dabur Vatika many times before; it’s an excellent hair oil. ( Read review ). In addition to coconut oil as the base oil, it has several herbs in it and it nourishes the strands very well. Knowing about the goodness of amla , I even tried their Amla Hair Oil . It’s a lighter shade of dark green and has an overpowering smell, which is a bit of downside. But that’s fine with me as I always massage hair oils at night and wash my hair the very next morning. It could however mess your sheets and make your pillow case to stink, so make sure you are not using brand new or expensive ones. Other than that, it’s a good product – it’s very cooling and it did impart luster and sheen to my hair. Ingredient list: Mineral oil, veg.oil (sesame oil, canola oil, peanut oil, cottonsead oil, palmolein oil, oil extract of amla (indian gooseberry), colours & perfume and antioxidant. Bajaj Almond Drops Hair Oil : Review

I had used Bajaj Almond Drops Hair Oil sometime back and really liked it, but completely forgot to write about it. This review will make up for it.  As I had mentioned in one of my earlier posts, I always like to apply hair oil the previous night before shampooing . Most of the time I use coconut oil for massaging my scalp , but I’ve also used olive oil and some homemade hair oils like aloe oil , hibiscus oil and store-bought ones like Dabur Vatika and Parachute coconut oil as well.  This almond drops hair oil with vitamin E, however, is a bit different from these oils; what I liked about it is that it’s light and non-greasy; so your hair doesn’t feel sticky after use. If you just feel like nourishing your hair roots anytime without any mess, just go ahead and apply this hair oil without any worries As it’s non-sticky it won’t show -- that’s the best thing about this oil. It has a pleasant aroma that soothes your senses and I’ve also found that it’s a natural condition...

Parachute Advansed Revitalising Hot Oil

Parachute Coconut Oil 200 ml oil. I simply adore pure, virgin coconut oil and pamper my skin with those luxurious oil-baths every winter . I also put a few drops in my bath everyday and find it extremely moisturizing on my skin. I’ve tried a number of homemade herbal hair-oils and loved them but by far coconut oil remains my favourite. Usually, I massage it on my scalp twice a week, by slightly warming it. Amongst the branded, store-bought coconut oils, I’ve tried Parachute coconut oil, and I’ve found it to be of a superior quality. Manufactured by Marico Industries, it is made of pure dried coconut (“ copra ”) and is packed in attractive blue plastic bottles with a tamper-proof seal to prevent duplication. It’s also available at Amazon ($4.95 for a 200 ml bottle). You may also purchase an extra large 1 liter bottle for $14.99. It smells nice and the plastic bottle can be slightly warmed by placing it in a container of lukewarm water to liquefy it after overnight freezing i...

Dabur Vatika Hair oil: Review

I have oily hair that becomes very sticky and highly unmanageable in summer . Nevertheless, I always oil my hair at least once in a week and leave it overnight to shampoo it off the next day. Coconut oil is my first choice for a scalp massage . But in summers I would rather use herbal oils such as amla oil, curry leaves oil, Aloe-oil or hibiscus oil which I prepare at home– all these oils, however, have coconut oil as the base. These oils are very cooling and applying these before going to bed gives me an undisturbed and peaceful slumber at night. I haven’t tried using too many commercially available herbal hair oils partly because I don’t want to end up losing hair by experimenting with unknown products. But when my friend who has thick, luxurious hair told me how after using Dabur Vatika hair oil , her hair got a visible shine and helped her to deal with long term hair-fall and dandruff, I decided to give it a try. I’ve never had any dandruff problems but excessiv...
