Dove Nutrium Moisture Body Wash: Review

I have used quite a few Dove products ( Dove Beauty Bar Pink/Rosa & Dove Gentle Exfoliating Body Wash ) before and really liked them. Currently I am using their Hair Fall Therapy Shampoo and Conditioner. Will post a review on that soon. So when 3 bottles of Dove Body Wash with NutriumMoisture™ – Deep Moisture, Sensitive Skin, and Gentle Exfoliating arrived at my doorstep all the way from US, I was thrilled.(The folks from Dove sent it.) It was all the more exciting for me as I was getting a chance to try a product that has won one of Allure magazine’s 2009 Best of Beauty Breakthrough awards . How it works: All regular body washes cause skin damage as they actually damage proteins and lipids in the skin’s outer layer (called the stratum corneum) during the cleansing process, which leads to critical moisture loss. Even the heavy moisturizers that are often added to compensate for this loss just tend to sit on the surface of the skin without getting fully a...

Purifying Neem and Aloevera Face Wash : Review

I recently purchased Nature’s Essence Purifying Neem & Aloevera Face Wash and have been using it since last week. The Details: Ingredients: A soap free formulation, the chief ingredients in it are, Aloevera, Neem and turmeric . Neem is a known source for eliminating problem-inducing bacteria, Aloevera is an excellent moisture balance maintainer and Turmeric with its anti-bacterial properties keeps pimples at bay. What it claims: Prevents acne and pimples and deep cleanses all impurities from the pores. Everyday use advised for clear acne/pimple free skin with dew like freshness and softness. Suitable for all skin types. Usage: Moisten face, apply few drops of the face wash and work up lather with a circular motion. Wash off and pat dry. Use twice a day and follow it up with a lotion. My experience: It’s a nice one, not at all harsh but very gentle on my skin. I felt that it’s almost similar to Himalaya Neem Face Wash , but this one is more hydrating. It doe...

Dove Gentle Exfoliating Body Wash: Review

I love body washes. I had tried Lux Silk Nourishment Body Wash sometime ago and was pleased with the results. Recently I purchased Dove Exfoliating Moisturizing Body Wash and I must admit that it’s quite good. With a creamy consistency and blue flecks, it has a wonderful, fresh scent that isn’t too overpowering. I poured a little of it on my loofah and worked up a lather. As I applied the loofah to my body, I could feel the blue things exfoliating my skin. It rinses off easily and it leaves my skin feeling soft, moisturized and smelling great. For a greater exfoliating experience, however, you should pour it onto your palm and apply it to your skin directly with your fingers. You’ll notice a few of those blue flecks scattered everywhere in the bathroom after you are done with the shower and cleaning that up may take some time. But, overall it’s a wonderful product for gentle, everyday exfoliation.

Lux silk nourishment body wash: Review

I love early morning showers . It perks me up and keeps me energized and refreshed for the whole day. To hydrate and soothe my skin during bathing, I used Lux Silk Nourishment Body wash . It is packaged with the goodness of creamy yoghurt, honey and olive extracts and costs only Rs.40 for a 125 ml bottle . You also get a free loofah with it to make your bathing experience more enriching. You have to just pour a few drops on the wet loofah and gently rub it all over your skin in circular motions. It works up loads of rich creamy lather, so you need to use only a little of it; hence very economical. It definitely left my skin moisturized and soft after use but didn’t give a super silky feel as it claimed. But I have to admit that this body wash is much, much better than the other drying soaps that I have used before. The fragrance isn’t particularly strong, but it isn’t so pleasant either. That’s fine with me as it lasted only till I was done with my shower. Take your pic...
