Those resulting toned arms and abs are worth the sweat, but not if it interferes with your beauty regimen. Start with a clean face. Wipe away foundation with makeup-removing cloths. They are perfect for women on the go and fit nicely in your purse or gym bag. It is important to let your skin breathe during exercise, as sweating through your foundation could lead to breakouts. If you are planning a light routine, you can leave your foundation on, just make sure to apply a primer first. This will create a waterproof barrier to keep your makeup in place.

For your eyes, use a silicone-based liner and waterproof mascara in the morning, and the application will survive your workout. Keep it simple and swipe your lids with a neutral eye shadow before leaving the gym for a natural look.

You might think you look better exercising with your hair down, but there is really no reason to let your locks get drenched in sweat. Before starting your routine, braid your hair or twist it into a bun. This will keep it dry and also prevent the rubber band from leaving unsightly kinks. Do not wash your hair after your workout. Instead, leave your bun or braid do and let the shower steam make pretty waves without any effort. You can also add dry shampoo to your roots to soak up any remaining moisture and add volume to your hair.

So you ran an extra mile in your workout, which is great for your body, but leaves you no time for a shower. Whip out those facial wipes one more time to remove sweat and dirt. Splash your face with cold water to reduce redness and tighten your pores. Allow your face to completely cool down before adding a thin layer of tinted moisturizer and touch up any remaining blotches with powder. Try to steer clear of heavy foundation, as this could leave your face feeling greasy. Chances are your cheeks are rosy post-workout, so use this natural glow to your advantage and skip blush. Apply a tinted lip balm or moisturizing lip stain to complete the look.

Don't forget that one of the most vital ways to feel great during and after a workout is by keeping hydrated. It is important to replace the water your body loses through sweat in order to keep it running at peak performance. Hydration is also the key to fresh, beautiful skin. Add a slice of lemon or lime to your water for a tasty way to stay cool. Plus, drinking water can help you lose weight in addition to exercise, so add the H2O and ditch those rapid weight loss tips.
