Hair Care Tips
No matter what color your hair is, pool water, the beach, dry winds, and sun exposure can harm your hair- dyed or not. Depending on what color your hair is, you can try different tips to keep your summer heir healthy.

Blondes: If you are blonde, remove brassiness by mixing a tablespoon of baking soda with your shampoo. Leave the mixture on your wet hair for 10 minutes, then rinse to remove the powder.

Brunettes: After your normal wash routine, mix ¼ cup of white vinegar and ¼ cup of water. Saturate your hair with the water, then blow dry to add vibrancy to your hair.

Redheads: Steep a bag of chamomile tea in 2 cups of water for 5 minutes. Cool the liquid, then spray the infusion on your hair. Air dry your hair in the sun for beautiful locks that will be the envy of everyone you know.

Shaving Secrets
It is no secret that shaving is important in the summer. Shaving keeps legs smooth and silky when they are exposed the most. For the maximum impact and protection, apply a lotion with added sunscreen to protect your legs from damaging sun rays. If you want to add a little color to your legs, use a gradual tanning lotion to give them a sun kissed look. Even guys should watch their shaving routine in the summer and add a sunscreen. If your man needs a little extra help in the skincare department, an Art of Shaving travel kit can kick his shaving routine up a notch for summer weather.

Skin protecting Practices
Your skin is your most precious resource, and keeping it healthy in the summer will help fight signs of early aging. When you leave the house, you should always wear a sunscreen on your face, neck, and any other areas that will be exposed. Exfoliate about once a week to keep your skin fresh looking in bare-skin weather. After a day in the sun, use a soothing aloe vera facial wash to protect the skin and prevent damaging burns. If you do get a sunburn, apply cooling aloe or mix equal parts milk and ice water and gently apply it to the burned area.

If you follow these steps, you will have healthy hair and skin throughout the summer. You can spend your days out in the sun without worry as long as you properly prepare yourself. Taking care of your skin year-round is the best way to keep your body healthy and avoid skin problems as you age.
