Best Selling Hair Removal Products

With so many hair removal products available in the market today, buffing away unwanted hair should be relatively easy. Unfortunately, not all products – even the most expensive ones – deliver promised results. If you’re still looking for something that really works, I gathered here just some of the top hair removal products out there with their upsides and downsides based on reviews and real user experiences.

1 Silk'n SensEpil

Silk'n SensEpil
Silk’n SensEpil is a laser hand-held applicator designed to fit the user's hand so you can apply at any part of your skin without difficulty. The product is clinically proven and uses Home Pulsed Light (HPL) technology - a supposedly safe and effective way of destroying unwanted hair in the treated area.

Pros
  • Less expensive compared to salon treatments
  • Easy to use because of its user friendly design
  • Provides additional skin-sensor to ensure protection and comfort
  • Applicable for facial hair below the cheekbone and most parts of the body
Cons
  • Not suitable for darker skins due to excessive melanin, works much better on lighter skin
  • You need to take extra precaution when using it on the face because it emits brighter light
  • One cartridge is only good for a single treatment, you will need to buy more cartridges
  • Result is not instant. Multiple treatments are required but the process apparently achieves desired long-term results.
2 NONO Hair
NONO Hair
NoNo is a laser-like and razor-like hair remover only it neither applies laser nor uses blades. The product is clinically tested and uses a patented thermodynamic wire that conducts gentle pulses of heat to the hair. The process supposedly sears the hair all the way down to its roots painlessly.
Pros
  • Completely pain-free even with the use of thermal heat
  • Quick and easy procedure
  • Safe and applicable for the face and most parts of the body
  • Effective over any skin type and color
  • No ingrown hairs or bumpy rash
  • Less expensive compared to laser
Cons
  • Creates a light burnt stench while using it because the heat singes the hair
  • Requires about two to three applications a week but subsequently requires less application as hair eventually grows at a slower rate.
  • It is found to be effective in achieving long-term results.
3 Braun Silk

Braun Silk-epil
Braun has a range of epilators to choose from depending on individual needs and beauty routine. The Silk-epil epilators supposedly remove even the shortest unwanted hair and give you silky smooth skin up to four weeks. The products are cordless, allowing you to apply it dry or in the bath or shower.

Pros
  • Easy and convenient to use as it is cordless
  • Slows down hair re-growth as it plucks hair from the roots
Cons
  • Slightly painful
  • Makes noise
  • Can only be used for body hair
  • Can get messy
4 Veet

Veet Wax Strips
Veet Wax Strips come in different packages - the high precision facial wax, ready to use facial wax strips, leg and body wax strips, and bikini, underarm, and face wax strips. Veet is tested under dermatological conditions and is accredited by the British Skin Foundation.

Pros
  • Easy to apply
  • Leaves skin soft and smooth up to four weeks
Cons
  • Painful – this is the common feedback shared by users
  • Leaves a sticky residue and can get a bit messy
  • Requires different packages for different parts of the body
5 Nair

Nair Sensitive Cream Hair Remover
Nair has a wide range of hair removal products but this depilatory cream is especially created for sensitive skin. Nair supposedly helps moisturize and exfoliate your skin.
Pros
  • Ideal for sensitive skin
  • Fast and inexpensive hair removal method
Cons
  • Although created for sensitive skin, irritations may still occur to some people
  • Testing on a small patch of skin is recommended 24 hours before application
While these products are proven to be effective hair removal system by many users, it is important to take note that results may still vary among users.

Electrolysis and laser hair removal are “permanent” hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged.

Most drugstore "Permanent" removals are just cheap scum. If you really want permanent hair removal that will last, go to a specialiast that will use a ruby laser. Thr ruby laser is the best. It removes hair, and it's permanent after only a pw treatments. There r a few companies that offer hair reoval at really low prices: Hair today Gone Tomarrow, ect.

Try the real thing, instead of crappy creams! : )

  5. Depilatories - Nair or Veet-like products. Not good for everyone, it burns my skin. The coarser the hair, the longer it has to stay on, and the higher the risk for burns. Depilatories turn the hair into a jelly-like mass and then it is wiped away. Again, it may take years to rid completely of the hair, if ever.
