Pooja Chopra's Homemade Beauty Tips

Former Miss India Pooja Chopra attributes her ravishing looks to grandma's beauty recipes. Time and again she uses homemade beauty aids concocted with ingredients from her kitchen. She swears by fruit based face packs; they add an instant glow to the skin, she enjoins. Ripe papaya face pack is her favorite and she often slathers mashed papaya paste on her face for a radiant glow. Banana face pack is very nourishing, she adds. "I add honey to mashed banana paste and apply it to my facial skin and my skin simply loves it. Also Egg white mixed with a bit of lemon juice works as a great skin tightener and makes my skin taut and bright. At the end of the day to cleanse my skin of the accumulated dirt and grime, I use a cleansing face pack made by mixing a paste of neem leaves, aloevera gel and turmeric. I leave it on for 20 minutes and then wash it off with lukewarm water.", she says.

Take the juice of half an orange and one tablespoon of soft granulated sugar. Add the orange juice to the sugar. Splash water on your face. Use your palms to gently scrub the mixture on the skin. Rinse off, pat dry and moisturise your skin. You will be left with baby soft, clear skin.

You can also use honey just as a mask. Leave it on for 15 to 30 minutes and your skin will be soft.
For toner, you can use apple cider vinegar (although it has a really strong smell). Just plain witch hazel is good, too. It's about a dollar for the generic version.

As for your lips, drink lots of water, dry lips are a sign that you're dehydrated. I don't know any at home things that whiten teeth, but I know the stuff they sell in stores works. The eye puffiness, use this recipe: Chop a WHOLE cucumber and put it in a blender with a spoonful of vitamin E lotion. Blend it and put it in a container, then put it in the fridge. When it's cold, smooth some on your eyelids before you go to sleep. I'm not sure about homemade recipes for hair volumizing, but there's this stuff you buy in the store (I don't remember what it's called) but you put it on your fingertips and rub it on your scalp. I think gel works good like that too. Rub it vigerously onto your scalp and it'll make your roots stand up.

for smooth lips, you can brush your lips with your toothbrush, till the dead skin comes off. For smooth legs, scrub them in the shower. keep them under warm water first, then scrub.

The most important thing is to protect your skin from the sun. There are moisturizers by Avon and Neutrogena with an SPF 30; I use one of these every day. Always wear a hat or if you are walking in the sun, use an umbrella.

If u r aleardy fair n need to be fairer, then u can apply Besan - Gram Flour may be with a lil termeric; the yellow undertone will give a apparent brighter effect. While if u r dark, then applying Talcum powder in small qty shall do the needful.
But the more effective way shall be to use some bleaching agent in very mild qty, but mind u this shall be very damaging to ur skin. So better use some fairness cream.

Two weeks of lemon treatment solved my acne problem. Of course I also partnered it with detoxification (drinking lots and lots of liquid during the day and eating lots of fruits as well) in order to get to the root cause of the acne breakout.
