I've been using a face pack Facy with Mix Vegetables since last week. It's a pack meant for oily skin that allegedly claims to minimize blemishes and scars, skin pigmentation and rid the skin of excessive oiliness. A 50g pack costs Rs.20/-
- Ambi Haldi (Curcuma Amada) -5 g
- Kaapoor (Camphor) - 5 g
- Orange peel- 8g
- Multani Mitti (Fuller's earth) - 50 g
- Jaiphal (nutmeg) - 5g
- Channa Dal (split chickpeas)- 8g
- Bawanchi (Psoralea Corylifolia) - 5g
- Mix Vegetable Pulp - 14g
You have to mix 2 tsp of this powder with 1 tsp of honey ( buy here)and add enough rose water (buy here) to get the mixture of desired consistency. Apply all over the face and neck avoiding the eye area and wash it off when it dries. For the first one month, you are supposed to use it thrice a week and then only twice a week.
I have used it only three times since last week and even though it was mentioned on the packet that it would cause a slight stinging/ itching sensation, I didn't experience any such thing. The results are almost similar to a multani mitti face pack (obviously because the chief ingredient in this face pack is Multani Mitti, although the emphasis is more on 'Mix Vegetables' ), it does cleanse my skin of excessive oil and grime. I'll only use this pack for as long as it lasts and won't wait for more than a month or so to test whether it can lighten a few post acne-scars and blemishes that I have; I'd rather use these home-made face packs and home-remedies for that purpose.
