Almond hand cream

This cream is not only cheap but also very effective.

1 tbsp beeswax
5 tsp vegetable oil
1 tsp almond oil
2 tbsp water
1 tsp borax
almond essence.

Method

Melt together the oils and wax in one bowl and the water and borax in another. When the borax is completely dissolved, remove both bowls from the heat and stir together by hand after adding the almond essence. Pour in a jar. This sets very quickly into pure white cream which is not at all greasy.

Satin hand cream

Ingredients:

1 tbsp stearic acid 2 tsp almond oil 1 tsp emulsifying wax 6 tbsp water 1 tbsp glycerin ¼ tsp liquid soap

Method:

Melt the oil and wax in one bowl and the other ingredients in the other. Remove from the heat and slowly add the water to the oils, beating or stirring all the time. This makes ½ a cup of white, satiny cream which gives a pearly sheen.

Hand lotion with glycerine and rose water

2 tablespoons glycerin
2 tablespoons corn flour
1 cup rose water (gulab jal)

Method:
Heat glycerin on medium heat and gradually add corn flour to it so that the mixture gets thick. Remove this thick mixture from the heat and add rose water to it. Keep stirring it for about 10 minutes. Allow it to cool and store it in a glass bottle in the refrigerator. Slather on this cream on your hands and arms regularly for smoothness.

Hand Lotion with white wax

Ingredients:

2 ounces of white wax
1 egg white
4 oz almond oil
½ tsp alum

Method:

Combine all the ingredients so that they blend well. Store it in a clear glass bottle. Whenever required, apply it all over your arms and hands. Wash off with lukewarm water when it dries.

Brewer’s yeast - 2 tsp
Witch hazel extract – 5 tbsp
Tincture of benzoin – ¼ tsp

  1. I love making my own lotions and creams. A little goat's milk cream base, a nice carrier oil like jojoba or safflower oil, and an essential oil for a little punch and fragrance, lavender being my favorite, and I have something I can share with friends.

It all goes great with some of the home spa facials that I whiz up in the blender. I have a few interesting combinations on my blogger blog as well!

You can cut a leaf from the plant and rub it on your hands.I have very dry skin on my hands because I have psoriasis. I saw an article on the web written by a doctor who said every time you wash your hands, towel dry them but leave them slightly damp, then rub a very small amount of Vaseline into your hands. After I do that, I use a paper towel to blot the excess. It sounds like it would be greasy, but you only use a very small amount of Vaseline, so it isn't and it works great. It is the water in combination with the Vaseline that makes it work

Get some heavy duty hand cream and also get some cotton gloves. Put the hand cream on before you go to sleep and then put on the cotton gloves. Do this every night when possible. The gloves you can find at wal mart in the glove section or you can get some in the nail polish section specifically made for what I mentioned.

Honey and Melted Chocolate is also fairly good for your hair and hands, it can be used on your face, but it might leave red bumps if you have sensitive skin. Just put around a pound of chocolate in the microwave, then put a can of honey in it too, then mix. Smear it all over your face and exfoliate away!!! Works GREAT!!!

You need to get rid of dirt and dead skin cells by exfoliating your hands. Exfoliating also improves circulation and keeps your hands looking pretty and young.
