An instant tip to make greasy hair look better

Just as clothes retain the pungent odor of perspiration so does the hair. Our hot tropical climate aggravates the problem. Oily and combination hair tend to be more affected by this. Frequent shampooing is the only solution during such times. But when you are in hurry and when it is just not possible to wash your hair, then you will have to look out for some quick solution to get rid of the greasiness from your scalp and avoid a bad hair day. Here’s one such method to make the hair not only look less greasy but also appear dense and full-bodied.

Another trick is to take a piece of cotton wool, soak it in eau-de-cologne and gently rub along the scalp. The stickiness and oiliness from your limp hair will disappear making it look bouncy and manageable. And you will look presentable instantly. However, don’t overdo it. It can dry your hair considerably. This tip is not supposed to be a substitute for your regular shampooing/washing; so don’t try it frequently.

  1. The best tip is to wash it. It takes under a minute to wash my hair when itneeds it. So turn the water on to get it hot, jump in, suds, jump out. The shower doesn't have to be a commitment to clean everything.

Avoid too much brushing of hair because it might further stimulate the oil glands that are already over-active.Wash your hair every third or fourth day or even more frequently, depending on individual comfort. A good nourishing liquid shampoo is often the best answer. Excessive oiliness if neglected can lead to falling hair. If treated in time it can be prevented.Wear your hair in easy-to-manage, well cut style. Light perming can help as it lifts the hair slightly away from the scalp, making it less easy for the sebum to travel up the hair shaft.

Mainly due to hormonal problem, the sebaceous glands tend to become overactive and produce too much sebum.

take hair spray and spray it on your finger tips, then massage it into the roots of your hair down to the ends. the hairspray absorbs some of the oil and makes it look less greasy.

Watch your diet. Oily and fatty foods can contribute to greasy skin and scalp.
