Let’s just debunk some of the myths as well as unearth some of the facts about the causes of these ‘panda eyes’.
Dark circles under eyes usually are temporary and not a medical concern. You may be surprised to learn that fatigue usually isn't the cause of dark circles. Instead, the most common cause is nasal congestion. When your nose is congested, veins that usually drain from your eyes into your nose become widened (dilated) and darker.

Another cause of undereye circles is eyelid swelling during sleep. When you lie down, gravity can cause fluid to collect in your lower eyelids. This swelling may create the appearance of shadows below your eyes. In addition, dark circles can result from chronic skin conditions, such as atopic eczema. [Source]

ReplyDeleteFirst, DON'T press down on your bags. That will make them look worse.
ReplyDeletetry concealer. Just a dab of it underneath your eyes. you can also use that on blemishes and it's not very expensive at drug stores.
You can also apply a eye cream that has vitamin K and retinol. Look some up. This is better than any lotion that you could be using because your darkness under your eyes could be a deficiency of vitamin K.
There are also masks you can get to treat your skin while you sleep.

I know how you feel I've struggled with them also! A good moisturizer definitely helps with any dryness you may have or you can ever try to garnier eye rollers which have caffeine in them! Cucumbers of course till work to help wake up the eye! I've also heard that green tea bags work if you steep them then put them in the freezer for 5 minutes and then place them over your eyes. Make sure to drink enough water everyday! Also, make sure your dark circles aren't from any underlying causes such as allergies or anemia! As for concealer, make sure to apply eye cream before concealer and remember less is more. The best concealer I have ever found for under eye circles is the bobbi brown corrector and concealer, which are on the pricier side, but there are lots of other alternatives at drugstores, try applying the concealer with your fingers to warm it up and make it blend easier.
ReplyDeleteUse tinted moisturizer just use the really light color or get more sleep

Only use cool water on the face, and do use a good eye lubricant that your eye doctor can give you. Drink orange juice vit C is good. Do not rub your eyes, can be allergies as you mentioned. Last, you can use an under eye concealer or an eye bright serum to soften the under eye tissue.

ReplyDeleteThe reason that Ice does work is that the reason for dark circles is the blood that ends up staying under the eyes. It is like bruises.
Ice helps to shrink the capillaries and reduce puffiness.
