Two simple home made beauty aids for your face

You could use these two simple home made beauty aids to keep your face clean, and free from blemishes and grime.

#1 Face cleanser

2 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp glycerin
½ cup water

Mix all these ingredients to a smooth paste. Heat in a pan placed in a water bath inside another pan. Heat it until thick and clear and until the consistency of a pudding is reached. Do not boil. Cool completely. Use instead of a soap. If the mixture is too thick, add water, 1 tbsp at a time, until the desired consistency is reached.

#2 Face pack

10 gm almond
50 gm rice powder
50 gm poppy seeds(khas khas)
Orange peel powder

Make a fine powder of all these ingredients. Add curds or water to this powder while using it. Gently massage the skin in circular motions for 5 minutes, allow it to dry and then wash it off. Works well to give a clear, blemish-free skin.

Tamarind is the best facial herbal treatment you can get and in the comfort of your home; and darling it is cheap too. Mix some milk in tamarind power to make a paste. Apply it on your face before going to bed. Keep it on your face for half to one hour. Then wash it. Twice a week is good for you. In case you are busy do apply once a week. The creams and colors of big companies you use to paint your face will actually damage your skin and cause wrinkles in future.
